Our hands-on environmental education empowers urban youth and cultivates a connection to the natural world.

We break down barriers for underserved communities to experience nature all around us.

Experiential learning fosters a sense of wonder and a desire to protect our local watershed.

Watershed and Environmental Education

Small Groups- big changes.

We provide hands-on environmental education to children and adults. Classes focus on disadvantaged student groups, families, and local schools.

Classes take place in city parks and on excursions outside the city.

Our programs focus on the diverse immigrant and refugee communities in South Philadelphia but are open to all.

In 2023, over 5,300 people learned how to kayak and got out on the water.

873 people learned fishing skills and participated in Free Family Fishing.

Youth lead all community programs. 18 students became certified as Kayak Instructors and Watershed stewards.

Our environmental adventure programs take students on at least 10 different day trips and a camping expedition. All students were new to each activity.

Students are taught skills in kayaking, fishing, archery, and more.
